Accessing this website

When you access our website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, time of access, requested file, volume of data transferred, browser and operating-system information, and the previously visited page. Processing serves to provide the website securely and reliably on the basis of our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log data is stored only for as long as required for operation, security and fault analysis.

Contacting us

If you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we process the information you provide to handle your enquiry and take pre-contractual steps or perform a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Unless statutory retention requirements apply, we erase this data after the matter has been concluded.

When you contact us via WhatsApp, data is processed by WhatsApp Ireland Limited and/or companies of the Meta group and may be transferred to third countries. Please do not send particularly sensitive information through WhatsApp unless necessary.

Online booking through Beds24

The “Book” button leads to the external Beds24 booking platform. Beds24 processes the data required for reservations, contract performance, payment and guest communications. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; booking and accounting records that must be retained by law are also processed under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. The booking provider’s privacy information, shown during the booking process, applies in addition.

Self Check-In and statutory guest registration

For Self Check-In and the legally required guest registration, we process identity, contact, travel and stay data. Processing is necessary for contract performance and compliance with legal obligations under Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR. Required data may be disclosed to the competent municipality, tourism association, public authorities and our registration-system provider. The registration link on our website leads to the external Deskline portal.

Recipients and service providers

We disclose personal data only where necessary for contract performance, compliance with law or technical operation. Recipients may include hosting, booking, payment, IT and registration-system providers, tax advisers, banks, the municipality, tourism association and competent authorities. Where required, data-processing agreements under Article 28 GDPR are concluded with processors.

Cookies and external content

This website uses technically necessary storage and connection functions where required for display and security. Non-essential analytics or marketing services are used only with prior consent. External services such as Beds24, WhatsApp, Gut Matzen or Deskline are contacted only when you click the relevant link; from that point, the privacy terms of the respective provider apply.

Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Statutory commercial, tax, registration and liability-related retention periods may apply beyond this time.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your rights, contact reservierung@schlossmatzen.at.
